Shenfield Garden Society welcomes new members.

The aim and objects of the society are to encourage, improve and extend the cultivation of flowers, fruit and vegetables. Meetings are held every third Tuesday in the month, except July, August and December, at Shenfield Parish Hall, Hutton Road at 8 p.m. These include a variety of subjects and different speakers. If there is a particular topic that members would like incorporated in the programme for the following year, we will do our best to see that it is included whenever possible. Gardening advice is available at the meetings and a Newsletter is sent to members regularly.

We hold Spring and Autumn Plant Sales where we aim to bring you quality at competitive prices. Three Shows are held every year at present, at which anyone can exhibit from children and novices to experts. There are many categories of entry, including cookery, flower arranging and photography as well as showing cut flowers, plants and vegetables. Our experts are always willing to give advice on how to display.

Social activities include Coach trips to various Gardens and places of interest, a Summer Tea or Lunch and a Christmas or New Year Lunch.
